Well, Hoop-De-Doo! Thanks, Chris and Amy!

It's always nice to get a nod from fellow bloggers! I had a nice surprise when I opened my dashboard this morning  ... Chris and Amy of  A Couple in the Kitchen had been there and given me a blogging award ! Well, that sat well with toast and coffee! Thanks guys! Of course, all things come with a few strings attached and this award comes with some too.

Nothing to tough, though!

# 1 - Thank the folks who recognized you.
#2 - Share 7 things about you, yourself, and you.

Hmmm ...

1 - I am into my second year of food blogging and I love it just as much as when I started!
2 - One of my travel dreams is to do a walking tour of sections of Scotland during the spring and early summer.
3 - I am a bleeding heart liberal ... and proud of it.
4 - I always wanted to own a tea shop that served nothing but different teas, desserts, soups, and sandwiches ... called  'Everything Stops For Tea'
5 - I am going to Old Sturbridge Village this weekend to attend a fireplace cooking dinner event and I am really excited about it!
6 - If I won the mega lottery, I would establish a scholarship fund for kids who wouldn't normally qualify for college financial aid ... and I would pick the scholarship winners.
7 - Yesterday was my 31st wedding anniversary ... 31 years, and I still love the guy!

#3 - Recognize 15 other bloggers that you have discovered and admire ... and contact them regarding their recognition/award.

  1. Thanks Susan!! You really made my day! I have really been enjoying your blog as well. I've "met" so many wonderful people in the short time that I have been blogging. My husband belongs to a "community" thru his work and it is the opposite of our world. He is always truly amazed at the wonderful things that I've experienced in mine... Thank you!
Congratulations on 31 years!! We are coming up on 19. And I'll be happy to join you on that tour of Scotland!! It's on my list as well!!

  2. Thank you so much Susan, you're so sweet! I'm so glad I've gotten to know you this past year through blogging. I'm jealous of your dinner at Old Sturbridge Village. I haven't been there since I was a child. The dinner looks fabulous and what fun that you do it yourself. I know the Salem Cross Inn in Brookfield has some sort of a fireplace dinner but I don't think you participate (but I could be wrong). Have a great time and Happy Anniversary!!!!

  3. You are too cute! Thanks for including me on your list. I will do my best to "pay it forward" -- and pay one backward, since I will continue to be inspired by your blog, as well. You make me so nostalgic for New England and all the other fine yankees!

I didn't know you gave me this award!!! Did you tell me and I missed out? How terrible that I didn't see your post. thank you so much. It's a delight to receive it. Actually, I also received this from Michael Toa at Me, My Food and I, and I'm still making my way through the award giving process.
